A proud Washingtonian and passionate advocate for the community.

Before retiring last year, Vinita spent over 25 years in the finance industry, working with some of the nation's most trusted banks, including U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, and Citibank. Her career gave her a strong foundation in fiscal responsibility, strategic problem-solving, and building lasting relationships—skills she now brings to public service.

As a planning commissioner for the City of Newcastle, Vinita has worked to ensure that growth in our region is thoughtful, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of the community. When Newcastle families asked for better public transportation, Vinita listened—and realized that real change required action at the state level.
Vinita’s leadership is grounded in real-world experience, collaboration, and a deep belief that government should work for everyone. She’s ready to bring her financial insight, community-first approach, and dedication to results to the State House-because the 41st deserves a representative who listens, acts, and delivers.
